Restoring True Worship and Fellowship
Acts 15:13 - 22; Isaiah 61
"After these things I will return
and I will Rebuild the Tabernacle of David
which has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins,
and I will restore it, So that the rest of
mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles
who are called by My Name, says the Lord who makes
these things known from long ago"
To paraphrase a scripture passage out of the Old Testament, we believe we are sent by God to bring restoration along a number of fronts:
- Firstly, restoration between individuals and God, by proclaiming His love and acceptance of them through receiving the gift of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Next, by practical experience, teaching and allowing the Holy Spirit to be Himself in our midst and do what He wants to do we believe restoration to people's souls will be experienced. Healing-spirit, soul and body is the promise of God through the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He'll work through us as well as through others.
- Thirdly, as the ripples of a wave will reach the farthest shore, or as a tsunami washes ashore from the farthest outreach those who have experienced the healing love of God will turn and restore others.
As peoples' hearts, minds and bodies are healed, we grow into the measure of a human being as God originally intended us to be.
